Santa Croce reflections

SANTA CROCE – A FACADE THAT REFLECTS ITS SURROUNDINGS

One of my mosaic interpretations of Florence’s beautiful architecture: the magnificent facade of Santa Croce. ✨

What makes this piece truly special is its mirrored background. Rather than having a fixed colour, the mirror reflects whatever surrounds it: the blue of the sky, the colours of your walls, or even the changing light of the room. Wherever you choose to place it, the artwork will interact with its surroundings, becoming a little different every time.

As always, this is a contemporary, multi-material mosaic, combining glass, mirror fragments, and an eclectic mix of unusual reclaimed and recycled elements. Tiny sparkling details, golden ornaments, turquoise accents, and geometric patterns come together to reinterpret the intricate beauty of Florence’s Gothic architecture in my own personal style.

A little piece of Florence that changes with the world around it.
